This IS their life. That is why it keeps coming up. This is probably the second most exciting thing to happen on SI for them (possibly even the most exciting thing- it was so obvious when it was going on). It is understandable why some people can't let go. It is hard to give up the high points. With some people it is life in high school. With this group it is being part of something that seemed bigger than they are individually. It is too bad it couldn't have been a social cause, but on the other hand, considering what social causes they might have been involved in, this was, quite possibly, the most socially constructive place they could have spent their time (I am speaking from my point of view, of course- obviously if I were advocating their politics it would have been better if they'd been doing something else, but certainly not for me and the positions I advocate).
