Another example is "Professional Paranoid", which is a private investigator with CIA connections who stumbled into information about Watergate and other covert political actions by Bush I. He thought these should be reviewed by someone at the agency. For his troubles, he got spied on, harassed etc., at one point they were spending $250,000 per month of taxpayers' money harassing him through multiple agents tailing him, tapping phones, opening mail, investigating everyone he came in contact with, etc.

He wrote this book to document ways of self-defense against this covert infection invading all parts of government. These actions are heavily-funded - with your tax dollars. They avoid any accountability through the use of outright lies, black budgets, impounding other agencies' resources, and bogus "National Security" classification.

One question raised after reading this book is what the level of surveillance and harassment can be expected by those Americans who may object to Bush plans for massive attacks on American sovereignty, privacy, income and GDP, all of which benefit those operating out of scrutiny of the American people.

The solution is full disclosure on all public programs, dollars and people, with the exception only of bona-fide military secrets of which there are almost none.
