Received the following PM on unusual options activity Mish: I noticed your posts in past few days on the big increase in Nov23 QQQ puts. If you look at this Open Interest number now, it appears to have dropped, quite a bit. Now, mind you, this is from memory, but I recall OI was 140K not too many days ago, unless this was bad info. Now, today, I see OI is quoted at less than 100K Also, as you have noted, there have been some massive changes in intraday volume on this strike. I wish I could get day to day data to confirm this, but this is what I am seeing. Have you seen large declines in OI way prior to expiry before? My reply: No, not like that plunge Perhaps someone knew about TXN and covered the dam things on the drop. This looks totally like insider knowlege. Damn hard to prove. M
