I have to agree with you Jordan; Rocky obviously must have graduated with honors from the buy high and sell low school of investment. But to be fair, that doesn't necessarily make him wrong on his current point about current earnings being an anomaly.

On the other hand, MSFT can manufacture any number of such anomalies before their vast cookie jar is empty. But that's a good argument against MSFT's cookie jar accounting. It obscures accurate assessment of MSFT's financial prospects. Given that Office, probably MSFT's most profitable product line, is only predicting 9% annual growth over the next eight years, I would watch that cookie jar closely.
