Actually, when the separatistes started kidanpping and bombing, we came down on them mighty hard. War Measures Act, tanks in the streets, sympathizers in jail

Don't confuse the goofy policies of the present government with the country's sentiments.

Even the Quebecois know the separatistes want to turn the place into Cuba with hydro.

You've got to be kidding. The operative words would be " have the ability to live down there" . After the three days of snorkelling at Ambergis Cay the next attraction would be suicide.
Although I must say there is a worse spot in the world, that would be either Bonacca Town,Guanaja or Washington DC.
