eLQD-

i think i've opened up a whole box of pandoras with
that question (what is the perfect alternative?)...

as i think about it... we HAVE modified simple capitalism.
there are 100s of rules and laws governing the economic
conduct of business. the graduated tax rate is one of the
biggest factors, but there are anti-trust laws designed to
protect us from monopoly-gone-to-its-ultimate-end, and
scores of other regulatory controls that i am ignorant of.
i'm getting a headache just trying to think about it.
for anyone, even a competent CFO of a fortune 500
corporation, to have a clear view of the entire complex
system seems next to impossible - especially since it is
constantly changing.

we have an ultra-complex economic system in the united
states... we've taken a system designed on an incomplete
or partial concept of natural law and found that it doesn't
support the collective need, so we've tried to tweak
it with 100s of exceptions and regulations.

there has to be a better way to combine the proper mix
of capitalism and socialism... something naturally
self governing, something simple that doesn't take
a genius to understand. i think it has to be based upon
a common vision or worldview... an understanding of nature
and the interdependency of the whole that includes,
validates and supports the independence of the individual.
que, no?

the natural world is perfectly self-governing. ultimately,
it already controls our economic system by the simple
fact that if it doesn't work, it FAILS and motivates a
tweaking or change of some kind, usually in the form
of legislation or imposed morality. but i STILL think
there has to be a better way, a simpler way, for mankind
to function economically and otherwise - based upon natural
law.

to this end, i think it behooves us to examine, experience,
and understand the natural order and process of the
universe. einstein was a hero, and so was thoreau.
but an einstein or thoreau i ain't... i'm kinda thinking my
path of nature study must be to get on a sailboat for a few
years and look for that "ah ha! - eureka" moment
when the simplicity of it all hits me over the head.

when it does, i'll share it with the nnbm barmates first.

WAIT! hold everything!

i think something's coming to me...

THE NEW NETWORKED BUSINESS MODEL!! that's the key! the
system that emulates the process and the natural order
of the universe. it's the perfect union of the individual
and the collective needs. i think i'm going to go back to
the 1990's and re-read kevin kelley's NEW RULES for a NEW
ECONOMY.
