Another good post on EP from Yahoo. From the latest brief from EPNG on the FERC ruling:

messages.yahoo.com

I especially like several points you've
made in your ID brief:

+ California firm capacity stepdowns in range
of 1.5 Bcf/d since 1996.

+ Trying to remarket CA relinquished capacity
simply was business common sense & prudent,
and citing Socal Edison's own statements
pushing for that.

+ Complaintants "withheld" capacity whining
primarily INTERRUPTIBLE transportation.
(unless I misconstrued this).

+ Using PGT's own protestation about operating
at MAOP was an especially elegant twist.

+ Pointing out California parties didn't want/
couldn't take up EPNG's repeated offers to
use loan gas (to make up their own third
party supply shortfalls).

+ Second guessing operational decisions by
obviously inadequate, uninformed
agenda-driven complaintants to back into
a predetermined conclusion by whatever
means necessary.

+ Fundamental California problem of inadequate
intrastate energy infrastructure.

I hope at long last this process at least
serves to slap some reality into the CPUC/
California so they will cut out their
preferred mode of dealing with problems:
denying culpability and using slander/litigation
instead. SHAME on the FERC ALJ for aiding
and abetting them.

CPUC/California - beg, borrow or steal some
common sense and decency and use all this
litigation expense you are instigating and
just sign up for the interstate
capacity you need once and for all. Your
negligence, ineptitude and just downright poor
business sense is screwing the whole energy
sector.

Jim, are you still in the EP "penalty box"? Can you buy EP shares?

Assuming you can buy EP now, what is your 30 to 60 day price target?
