Sure do, Gottfried. As I understand it, the problem is really thorny to get through, from what I've read of people's experiences with this prevalent ID game protocol.

My interest is piqued by the problem, because over the years, I have had to work through a lot of computer problems on my own, spending many grueling hours trying to fix stuff at home or at work with our very dated system, with varying degrees of success. My technical knowledge is limited, therefore have had to work harder. However, I have about yelled "uncle" on this one. I may need to upgrade the video card anyway if I want to run this new stuff at all.

There are a lot of choices out there, but haven't researched the new generation of cards and how they work with opengl. It could be my system has phantom devices still interfering with video, but I don't know how to display, then remove, them on WinMe.
