reaper,

I'm almost afraid to ask <G>, but what's your take on Vlad? He's got one of the more awesome swings in the game IMO.

*OT* Wow, maybe we'll see a pennant in Boston yet!-g/ng Not a bad idea but I think it could be a logistical nightmare.

There was a time reaper when Les Expos were 'it' in Montréal. Then the lies from ownership, the endless sell-off of the stars, then the 1994 strike which killed the dream season, then the new stadium was killed. The Big 'O' is just so unbelievably unappealing and inconveniently located that even if they were winning its hard to get folks out there. A downtown stadium would have made all the difference. Lousy Quebec socialist government would never have funded it.

One day I'll write a book about the demise of the greatest team that never was.

Long live Ellis Valentine!
