I basically disagree since it's the herd that determines who's right or wrong. The trend is your friend (until it changes). What causes the trend to change? A switch from hope-to-fear or vice versa on a macro scale. Either a major single event that causes a structural shift in thinking/sentiment or a continuous piling on of bricks which end up building the wall of worry. This wall of worry can be faced by bulls or bears. Right now the wall seems to be that the market is changing direction, so the bears are the ones who are climbing the wall.
