Just as I suspected

The networkers started to strengthen last week jnpr, cien and the chipmakers brcm etc. that are suppliers. Nothing earth shattering mind you but previously these things had no bottom, something was up.

I have thought for some time that if we could get stabilization and low or moderate growth from the comm equipment sector then the bear mkt for technology would be behind us. The rbocs are artificially suppressing broadband growth by keeping prices too high (bb should be $20/mo unilaterally by now, no reason for costs to be what they are other than this brutal consolidation). Corps are slow in adding broadband capacity now due to the recession but these are temp phenomenons imo, add that to the glut (also temporary) and its something that needs to be dug out of. Cisco for example bought a ton of software, same with Dell - just turning these 2 guys back on full steam would improve the enterprise software climate.
