Not as far as I know. The prime suspect is Jemaah Islamiyah (I, and probably the Indonesian government, don't know much about them) and it still seems to me the objective was to destabilize the Indonesian government by undercutting a major economic activity. The Australians and other foreigners got introduced to a new role - collateral damage. The connection to Al Qaeda is probably rather tenuous; I'm surprised he didn't bring Iraq into it. I'm sure Jemaah Islamiyah has had some communication with Al Qaeda, but then you and I have had communications with Republicans, and may even have followed their orders at some time in our lives.<g>
