DAVE, TONY NEVER SHORTED HIS WAD ALL AT ONCE. HE WOULD SHORT SOME KNOWING THAT IT WOULD GO UP (USUALLY 10 TO 20 % OF THE TOTAL THAT HE INTENDED TO SHORT), THEN SHORT SOME MORE AND THEN SOME MORE ON THE WAY UP. THE REASON HE DID THIS WAS TO BE POSITIONED AND BE ABLE TO BORROW THE STOCK WHILE IT WAS AVAILABLE KNOWING IT WOULD TANK.

WHICH THEY USUALLY DID

Well he had his own style for making success which was totally against the grain back then, and as time uncovered the truth he never had to hide or change his way of trading.I guess what I like about Tony most is all the hell and crap he took for calling a spade a spade then having the balls to stick by his beliefs until they paid off.Its one thing to be right, another to stick to it while being called wrong. The guy was calling 10-15 calls a week and many in those days ran 10-20 points,it was some kind of fun for me watching him work through those trades one by one.I've been lucky to have rubbed elbows with some of the best traders in the world-Auric-Pink-Aloha-T14-RH-Crav-Bear-Pluvia and many others but Tony was the best I ever saw.
