He mentioned that he had asked for the money 5 shootings earlier. He may have thought he could get the $10mm and pick it up say in Iraq.

The best lawyers won't get him out of this one. It didn't work for the American Taliban, or McVeigh. It only worked for OJ because 1) the prosecution was incompetent, 2) LA has a weird celebrity culture, and 3) he was a good-looking movie/sports star. Our Mohammed here has none of that (hopefully not the first one; what is Marcia Clark doing these days?).
