They got caught because the kid had too many male hormones and blabbed about the Montgomery killing. The police chief from Montgomery was on TV and 2 cops were across the street from the killing. They chased him and actually got within 2' of him before he outran them. Two feet! twenty-four inches!! Don't the police in Montgomery have guns?? At 2' you could have shot him.
