The scheduled launch date for single stock futures is on 11/08. There will be
85 stocks and 15 indices to choose from, and you'll have a 5-1 leverage
factor. For example, if you bought one futures contract on IBM (representing
100 shares), you'd only have to pay 20% of the purchase price of the 100
shares. The real boon is that you can short at any time, and you don't need an
up tick to establish a short position.
