If Poet considers it an apology, then it is, at least to her.

if you want a separate apology to yourself, you can decide whether you've gotten it or not.

But you have no right to decide for Poet what she considers an apology. I don't think anybody has the right to try to control how another person perceives a post.

That does violence to a person's right to control their own thought process. Not a good thing.

IMO, of course, but in this case MO is right on target.
