I didn't make up any rules, I simply documented what constitutes a valid apology.

"They may sometimes demand a full scale multi paragraph apology with flowers and dinner out, and other times may accept a simple "oops" as sufficient.

The "demand" you speak of constitutes terms for reconciliation. That may be consistant with or completely outside of what constitutes a valid apology.

Absolutely not, since I have no vested interest in most cases. This has nothing to do with my statements on this topic. Why do you ask?
