Maybe that explains the diff between 2.25 and 2.4 ???? That may indeed be possible, but to make it a general rule is impossible isn't it? Some chips make large footprints while others are much smaller. I would not think it possible to quantify any gains in wafer space with the wide variety of IC's being produced, especially so early in the transition from 200mm to 300mm when the gains are less likely to be realized. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than I could comment on this. Brian
