Several states have not yet sent out cheques to citizens who were owed tax refunds this year. In some cases, the involved citizens received a form letter that simply stated that the state's financial status precluded the forwarding of a cheque at this time and that the citizen's tax account would be credited with the amount owed.

I have kept a finger on this little item, as for me, it is just one more indcation as to just how deep in the hole the U.S. economy has sunk.
