and throw the exogenous event of 9/11 and the subsequent federal expenditures....

deficits are a done deal.

my point wrt pensions....

countries can print their way around cash burn for a while...corporations have a much more difficult row to hoe..bonds are getting more expensive as credit quality diminishes...floating more stock hardly seems feasible...and earnings though higher after much reduced expectations...are still in single digit growth..

where does the money come from?
