Jay, the IRA has lost their USA connection. Bill Clinton won't be inviting Gerry Adams to the White House. King George II will not either. Americans financing terrorists will go to gaol and that includes financing IRA terrorists.

I think you expected the IRA to do something impressive. They won't now. They know they are on a losing wicket.

Forget about Britain learning and learning again. They don't have an empire now. Hong Kong's gone downhill since Jiang Zemin took over [being an instant expert on these things although I admit I'm guessing]. The world has moved on. Britain isn't learning and learning again, any more than every person on earth is learning and adapting ever day.

The IRA has had its day. The Moslem Head Hackers are having their time. They won't last long. They are purely negative and destructive and have nowhere to go but a bunker en route to oblivion. All the good in the world is opposed to their malevolence. Blowing people up in Omagh or in the Twin Towers or in Bali doesn't win. It loses. They are losers. Murdering hundreds in Moscow won't win either. The USA has lost interest in backing Chechens though it took them long enough to figure out that Chechen Moslem Head Hackers are part of the Matrix of Malevolence and the USA and Russia were always the real allies [the USA got confused for a while and completely blew it when Gorby took over - to the great cost of the USA as is now evident].

6 billion versus 1 million chimpoids = an easy win.

the struggle in N.Ireland will commence once again

Possibly. A couple of points.

The NI population know that the peace process can work now, any increase in violence will push them back to that process.

The UK is an economic basket case compared to the Republic of Ireland. Southern Ireland has EEC grants galore. Massive spending on infrastructure. Lots of modern manufacturing plants etc.

The typical UK taxpayer is not in the least interested in Northern Ireland, just a problem they would wish would go away. The security costs of NI have been enormous. What the NI majority of Protestants want (i.e. to remain part of Britain) is of almost zero interest. They are a very small minority in UK population. They should forget their bigotry and realize where the money is. It's not here in the UK, but there is plenty down in the Southern Republic.
