Our law enforcement did a decent job, by the numbers: Span of terror: DC Snipers &#151 3 weeks. Belgium's "Brabant 'Supermarket' killers" &#151 3 years. Casualties: DC-S &#151 10 dead, 3 wounded. Brabant &#151 28 dead, dozens more wounded Vehicle(s) under suspicion: DC-S &#151 numerous erroneously-reported generic white vans (as originally stated) Brabant &#151 1 specific Volkswagen Golf GTi (positively ID'ed) Police roadblocks and military units: DC-S &#151 ineffective against imaginary generic vans. However, correct vehicle found within 3 hours of updated info. Brabant &#151 ineffective against single specific vehicle positively ID'ed by multiple witnesses for over 3 years. Result: DC-S &#151 Suspects linked by positive ID of ballistics and fingerprints Brabant &#151 Still unsolved since 1985. * If you don't like our law enforcement results, maybe you should stick with yours.
