Additionally, we note Nokia recently confirmed licensing QUALCOMM’s BREW software in an effort to help its positioning, potentially with carriers such as Verizon.

I had never heard any confirmation of this although I did here Anssi reference BREW quickly at the Strategy Update on Tuesday. I had always assumed they took care of this matter when the negotiated infra and WCDMA July 2001.

Another thing that I found interesting was Matt Hoffman's comment:

Nokia will be launching a low-end CDMA model, the 2100, in China next year in addition to the 1X models currently launching in North America.

Obviously Nokia must be pretty confident about licensing in China which they called JUST a bureaucratic detail.
