We have blackberry bushes growing on the property here, which are a nuisance to mow around, but which produce wonderful, totally natural blackberries. You have to be patient to pick them -- have to pick only the ones that actually fall off into your hand with the slightest tug and leave the others till they truly ripen. Commercial growers of course don't do that, so their blackberries don't have the flavor of fully ripe blackberries.

Generally I just munch on them while I'm wandering around outdoors, but each late summer we get enough at one time to make the most wonderful blackberry pie. Scrumptious.

Sounds wonderful. Our family is most partial to blueberries, but blackberries are also good.
