NWLL at 29 cents and halted. Ray Dirks had said that New Tel could become a $300 stock. Khashoggi was also involved in New Tel. I wonder who Malone is trying to fool with that PR? NewTel's Financial Year ended on June 30, 2002. The fact that he cannot find the money he needs to complete the Digiplus acquisition on October 31 has nothing to do with the last Financial Year. That is history!

New Tel requests trading halt to finish financials

NEW YORK, Oct 25 (Reuters) - New Tel Ltd <NWL.AX> <NWLL.O> said on Friday it requested a trading halt for its stock pending the completion of its 2002 financial statements.

The diversified Australian telecommunications company said its financial statements have not been completed due to its acquisition of DigiPlus Investments Ltd announced in March.

New Tel said in a statement it expects to complete the transaction on Oct. 31 and plans to apply to resume trading as soon as its auditors have finished their review of its accounts.

The company's shares normally trade on the Australian Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq market.
