No Tom that isn't "using the logic". I never said selling weapons to Iraq was a good thing because others would have done so anyway. I said it was a mistake.

Using your logic if we did sell weapons to Al Qaeda that would mean we now have no right to go after them.

Thank you for providing me with a useful analogy.
