A sad day. While I certainly did not agree with most of his politics, he was a genuinely principled man. There are not enough men in Washington that consistently stick to their principles. A big loss for our nation.

One of his 3 daughters was on the plane. He's survived by the other two adult children.

His name stays on the ballot, and the late Mr. Wellstone will probably win and the Gov will appoint a successor.

It's probably true his death clintched his election.

Him and his whole family was killed.
