When he recently spoke to 300 college Democrats, Wellstone heated the room to a full boil.

"If you want real welfare reform," he began, "you focus on a good education, good health care and a good job.

"If you want to reduce poverty, you focus on a good education, good health care and a good job.

"If you want a stable middle class …

"If you want to have citizens who can participate in democracy …"

By now, Wellstone was shouting, his face was flushed.

"And if you want to end the violence … you could build a million new prisons and you could fill them all up, but you will never end this cycle of violence unless you invest in the health and the skill and the intellect and the character of our children — you focus on a good education, good health care and a good job!"

The crowd erupted, roaring for the better part of a minute.

When the applause finally died down, Wellstone joked, "And other than that, I don't feel strongly about anything."

<<The issue was whether a sawed off shotgun was an arm that was afforded protection under the 2nd amendment.<<

And that was the issue - not the 2nd amendent was an individual right.

Just because they "talked" about the other aspects does not give the "talked" about issues ANY legal standing.

BTW, Miller has never been used in a 2nd case...
