with all due respect, i don't follow anyone or anything blindly, and i doubt many on this thread do. this isn't turnip-land.

i am currently f'ed - not irretrievably but f'ed just the same - not because of jeff's retrace hypothesis but because i ignored one of my most reliable indicators on account of i suddenly "knew better". had i not ignored myself i would have stayed in the rally much longer and pretty much avoided anything resembling the current pain.

to me the retrace was like fibs: a convenient way of subdividing the near future into possible targets and turn points.

yeah, I wish I had stayed long from 1280 up. Caught the rally under that but we got overbought and stayed so. Basically, I think we will all look back and see that "buy the dips" needed to be restarted as of 8/5/2002, and I don't doubt that there will be exceptional overall strength for a number of years, not unlike the 3-4 years after 87-90/91.

I mean we are rallying pretty broadly on the tragic death of a US Senator during a time of terrorism. And we are seeing broad, aggressive purchasing of sw companies by investment banks.

We are still looking very much like the Aug peak, but what will next week bring?
Whatever. We'll see.

There has been far too much blind acceptance on this thread, and not nearly enough THOUGHT, IMHO.

you can't be serious......the retrace goes astray last week....and now we are blind fools after this....

january....2098 top....retrace 2028....

1946 top...retrace 1931....
1759 top...retrace 1748...

1426 top...retrace 1400....

1000 october bottom....1108.....

january 2098 to october 15th... 9 months and 15days of blind thoughtless thinking while the majority of folks got toasted and many posters on these threads are gone....

glad i was blind to reality for those 9-months.....<GGG>

not nearly enough thought augie???????

you show me one other person who found that backwards nasdaq chart to follow like i did.....

and now it finally gets a blip......and its all a waste now right.....

i watched you fight the retrace all the way down for months......now i think you finally lost it boo.....<ng>

isn't that the way it always goes......folks who believed this thing back in may rode the gravy train.....those who fought it and missed out.....finally jump on board at a point where it goes astray.....and now all the hard work from may till now is all a thoughtless waste of time....

thats the kind of appreciation that is the norm on the internet.....

makes me wonder why i even bother posting.......

When did you become spokesman for the masses? I may be
mistaken, but wasn't it you who got up and preached on the
turnip thread?
