I don't think anyone who really thinks about it would want that. Imagine Vidrane (spelled incorrectly on purpose) showing up at your door, on the phone, emailing you. Not a pretty picture. (imo).

No I do not want people from SI getting involved with my personal life without invitation. This is why I chose an alias and at one time changed it. However it is not so simple an issue.

Some people have contacted me through email and shared personal information about their 3D life. I see no problem with that. I know that some people from SI have visited one another in 3D. No problem there either.

My comment had more to do with the false security that some may feel in regards to their behavior on SI. My examples were to demonstrate that this can be a big mistake. I think it appropriate to generalize lessons learned from history into new venues such as SI.

Behavior at the New Years party at a co-workers house can carry over and effect life at the job and vice versa. The behavior may have offended a friend of a friend who does not even work for your firm, yet it can still effect relations on the job. SI behavior can carry over and effect us in 3D in similar ways. When we test out extremes of behavior here we may find the results uncomfortable and modify our attitudes in 3D accordingly. I suspect that is the expectation for most of the antics I see here. Neocon may be an exception. According to self disclosure he seems to be totally his 3D self while on line.

When we push extremes with people who have blurred the lines between the electronic group and 3D we open ourselves up for a splash back in 3D. That is not a suggestion or opinion about what should be, just a note of caution.
