The continuing saga – Part 18

THE WITNESS: Can you define to me my theory?

BY MR. ARGENTAR:
Well, I'm asking you, you know what -- what is -- if you were to tell me what thesis is of this document, can you -- can you tell me in your own words what this document -- what the theme -- of this document is?

A It's a clipboard. There is no thesis, but I'm really interested in what you said was my theory. I want to know what you define as my theory.

Q I want to you tell me what -- there is material in here that you wrote, that you were the author of, correct?

A Yes.

Q Okay. And looking, for example, at page 1?

A Okay.

Q Okay?

A Sure.

Q Can you tell me, okay, what you mean by the following statement, okay?

A So we're not going to answer the theory question, though?

MR. ARGENTAR: Am I being deposed, sir?

MR. RICHTER: Don't interrupt when there is a question.

THE WITNESS: I'm curious about the Oliver Stone theory.

MR. RICHTER: Don't interrupt the questions, please.

BY MR. ARGENTAR:
Q I'm going to read a statement and I would like you to tell me what you mean by this.

MR. RICHTER: Before you start, let me tell you I'm going to object to lack of foundation unless part of your question is whether he wrote something, in other words I think we need to establish if you're going to ask him what he meant by something, is it part of the question or the predicate whether he wrote it or not because I, myself, can't tell which parts he wrote or which he didn't.

BY MR. ARGENTAR:

Q Looking at the first paragraph that begins in 1997, do you see that paragraph?

A Yes.

Q Are you author of that paragraph?

A Can I read the whole paragraph to let you know.

Q Please.

A Okay. (Witness reviewing the document.) Yes, I wrote that.

Q Okay. I'm going to read you a statement and I want you to tell me what you mean.

A Okay.

Q Beginning with about halfway down, a little more than halfway down the paragraph, "Cyber boiler-rooms disguised as message boards adrift in cyberspace like floating fast food joints in a Hanna-Barbera, Jetson-esque sky and every smiling face you encounter at the fly-by window morphs into a blood-sucking, blob-like alien, life force whose survival is solely dependent upon how much money it can steal and make disappear. Once you permeated the cyber membrane that separated you from the New World Order, you find yourself wallowing thru an OTC cesspool of money laundering sinkholes."
What do you mean by that?

A Exactly what I said, Mr. Argentar I don't know what else you want me to expound about. It is very clear. "Cyber boiler-rooms disguised as message
6 boards adrift in cyberspace like floating fast food joints in a Hanna-Barbera, Jetson-esque sky and every smiling face you encounter at the fly-by window morphs into a blood-sucking, blob-like alien, life force whose survival is solely dependent upon how much money it can steal and make disappear. Once you permeated the cyber membrane that separated you from the New World Order, you find yourself wallowing thru an OTC cesspool of money laundering sinkholes."

Q And you believe that statement speaks for itself?

A Yes.

Q You refer there to a new world order and throughout this document on various occasions you use that phrase; isn't that correct?

A Yes.

Q Okay. What do you refer to -- what do you mean by the phrase new world order?

A The definition of new world order is the entire context of what we're writing here. Actually these are the clipboards for the book I'm writing. So the book will talk about the quote/unquote new world order but it is a metaphor. It is metaphorically speaking in the piece itself by definition this defines new world order.
