AJ, I have reread the actual MVIS release and I don't think that the other guy's take that I posted is right. He seemed to think, as you picked up on, that it would involve an Autoscope-like display that could only be seen by the viewer and not by others.

I think on reflection (lol) that it is a simple projected (i.e. not scanned) display, visible to anyone in the back seat, and that when they use the word "reflected" they are simply describing the physical reality that an image there on the screen will be seen via reflected (not transmitted) light. I don't think they are saying that the image will not appear on the screen itself, visible to everyone. Otherwise, the problems you mention of eye-tracking in a moving car raise their head, and I have heard nothing to indicate they have been solved.

And who would want to pay for a display built into the car that only one could see? If someone wants a private pic, let 'em get their own personal display, MVIS (2004?) or somebody else's kudgy crap (now).

I have looked in vain for a detailed description that would answer these questions.

Anyone?
