Jay, it seems like a re-run of the Luddites way back at the beginning of the industrial revolution.

I'm not sure that Joe 6-Pack, even though highly paid, will want to be held hostage by stevedores getting US$116,000 per year to sit around driving a crane or something.

These are unimaginable amounts of money to regular humans. I would far rather deal with Chinese who seem to be more friendly trading partners and who don't charge a fortune to push a couple of buttons to unload a ship. China will make billions of CDMA devices and ship them around the world to people who don't earn US$116,000. I suppose they'll ship a few of them into Canada and then down into the USA. Or maybe into Mexico and up into the USA, leaving the greedy USA wharfies alone with their cranes.
