OK, I think we generally agree.

Just as Maoris and other Helengrad supporters are doing here

The point with socialism programs, and any other of these like minded matters, is the bad things they cover up. They are always presented for humanitarian reasons, but really a grab for power. OK, so some Maoris get to become first class citizens, and enjoy better houses etc then the immigrant sub species. Similar to some English speaking Canadians in Quebec I expect. There is some "see sawing" of social status going on throughout our lives. Thing is, the democratic system is there if things get too far out of hand.

Be careful if Helingrad supporters propose that only those in premium properties can vote. That's where things can go seriously wrong. [In the NI link, is was the vote thing that was the real issue]. If further local legislation is passed... Where Maoris are allowed historical tradition where they can consume dead human beings. If doctors and police are not allowed to verify that the reason for death are not suspicious of crime first, and are actually dead [before cooking], then it's time to up the protest to International levels.

We'll send a gunboat or something,

<g>

Yes, it's true that the longest day isn't exactly on 31 December, but it's quite close

No Maurice NOOO. New Year's eve is the SHORTEST DAY, not the longest. What kinda calendar are you running down there -lol-

I suggest building some large stone circles and aligning marks to the sun, planets and stars to tune your atomic clocks and calendars. True North can be found by locating the Pole Star -g- Measure off equinox positions as well as longest and shortest days. Geez, have you guys got lots to learn -g-
