I finally caught this post of yours. These are not fanatics with an alien worldview in which you figure as the Great Satan, bent on denying them their true glories. These are nice, bright people, with various quirks, assuredly, whom you have managed to offend profoundly. I do not say that they have handled things as well as they could have. But the idea that you have merely been set upon by an irrational mob is risible; the comparison with terrorists is sickening; and you would do well to consider how you provoked so much ill- will........
