Chamberlain had a lot to answer for. However, demonizers sometimes appear to be almost as dangerous as appeasers.

Is the present enemy as strong and resourceful as the enemy in World War II? And more dangerous?

Chamberlain thought Hitler was OK and said so. But he was sorta "betrayed".

But Bush has been insisting that Osama and his ilk and Al-Qaeda and Jemaah Islamiya are very dangerous. Perhaps this should make us feel safer, eh?

Unfortunately for Bush and most of his supporters, he is not getting support from the EU, Russia and China. Looks like the US has to go all out on Iraq alone, eh?
