I am trying to think of what member of the nasdaq, that is actually a law firm, will benefit by the inevitable world wide monopoly of South Korean wireless technology.

Does Vodafone do business in Europe? Does Telefonica do business in LA(not Los Angeles)?

Gosh, these are just talks though. Nothing will come of it....probably.

Korea SK Telecom Confirms Talks With Vodafone, Telefonica
Sunday October 27, 10:09 pm ET

SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- South Korea's SK Telecom Co. confirmed Monday the company recently held talks with Vodafone Group PLC and Telefonica S.A. to introduce its wireless Internet services expertise overseas.

"We've recently opened an office in the U.K. and have contacted several European wireless carriers to introduce SK Telecom's wireless Internet services, " said SK Telecom spokesman Weon Hong Sik. "However, it's just initial contact and we haven't discussed any alliances nor have we signed an agreement."

The spokesman's remarks confirm a Financial Times report Monday that said SK Telecom is trying to sell its expertise in the wireless Internet services overseas. The report, which quoted SK Telecom's Vice President of Internet Strategy Division Yoo Hyun-oh, said SK Telecom is hoping to help foreign companies develop infrastructure, technology and content for third-generation mobile services.

SK Telecom's Weon added the company is currently evaluating the European wireless market through initial contact with as many wireless carriers in the region as possible. He declined to specify the other companies.

SK Telecom is South Korea's largest wireless carrier.
