Had we sat back and let the UK get invaded, had Hitler been smart enough to let his generals wage the war, we might have faced an Axis fortress europe and Africa and Asia. Luckily Hitler was the worst of all possible stupid foolish bad generals, and he felt he could cow a people by bombing their houses instead of destroying their ability to wage war be bombing their aircraft factories. Once the UK had local air superiority over England germany was doomed and his generals knew it. Too bad that coup failed. We should count ourselves lucky. It look as if saddam is a rival for hitler, a stupid foolish general who feels he can run the war against the US and win. He has no hope, however, let him build fortress United Greater Arab Republic and he will have a formidable population base from which to wage war. We are still lucky, the average Arab cannot pour piss out of a boot if the direction were printed on the heel...you see he cannot read. That means there is no capability for Saddam to wage a modern war. It takes an educated warrior group as well as modern weapons, however he can be king of the block in the middle east and he can wage atomic/germ/gas war to expand his boders bit by bit. Want to bet that is what he will do? Just lay back and roll over and let his do it and see how badly you get it. Bill
