Pearly, We? I am from the UK, I was born before WW2 and lived through it. Our house was destroyed while we were in a shelter and we relocated to a country house after that. My father was in Burma in WW2, operaing an army camp on the Burma road. more of a supply command, the only war he saw was against Jap infiltrators who were trying to impded war material transport to China. The was mainly Tanks, Trucks and Artillery. Defence of the UK was a lost cause until hitler started civilian bombings and allowed the air force to rebuild. An invasion was not possible without the USA helping. The UK would not have been able to mount an invasion, however after the germans lost the air war, germany could not invade britain either. It would have been very much different if the Gemnas had invaded the UK early on in the war. It would have been easy to do and they would have won the war and made a fortress europe. The USA may never have entered the war?? Bill The US supplied lots of stuff, that was why the germans finally started on the US shipping.
