Blind bears! "Share" volume is currently at historically high levels:

based on 250 broad market stocks I follow. Yes, the share volume has declined from "peak" levels, but they are still high.

More stocks today are still moving up and down on significantly higher than average volume than they have in recent history. This table graphs daily stock counts (of the 250) of stocks that are rising on significantly higher than average "dollar" volume (in green) and falling on significantly higher than average "dollar" volume (in red):
