Mencken said, (yes, I know, it may seem I have excessive admiration for the man --but you can't argue with someone when he is spot on)....

Anyway... he said that:

The cynics are right 9 times out of ten.

The point is... never mind if I am cynical or not, just take a look around the world and unless you are in a ridiculous state of denial, you must admit that existence has become quite absurd.

And that is taking somehow an attitude that while it may certainly appear cynical and "I do not give a sh*t kind of" is one that it will allow you to survive.

How much crazier does it have to get?

It does not matter; I think we are beyond the turning point.

In my eyes, we will never return to what we, in our own minds consider the "good old times” it never does.

We evolve, always the new generation "adapts” probably because they do not know any better. However, at what point... do we stop getting more absurd, or more violent, or crazier, without the system breaking down? I suppose I do not know the answer to that.

The real problem --catalyst-- is the weapons we have been capable to build. Take the Moscow Theater. They used a gas that they are not supposed to even HAVE, let alone use... so what's next?

Look at Japan... how long they have been living under this recession... soon, what used to be inconceivable, becomes second nature...

The world of mad max is just around the corner...

If you want to boil it down to ONE reason... I would say is overpopulation. Unless we solve that... we are cooked rice already.
