Horse potatoes.

The whole argument is nothing but a straw man.

There could have been a hundred fighters in the sky, shadowing the hijacked planes.

At what point do you decide to start shooting them down?

Vidal implicitly claims they should have all been shot down before any of them hit anything.

Do you consider that a logical, rational proposition?

Your posts raised logical questions. Normal people would stop and think about it.

Interesting.. So I guess military folks aren't "normal people" right??

Because the logic you are directly implying suggest conspiracy on a grand scale.. Military pilots taking their time in responding to an attack on their highest most headquarters...

Pilots in those "combat-ready" national guard units having that second or third cup of coffee and watching the news instead of hopping in their jets for intercept missions...

Heck.. some folks are trying to claim that Flight 77 never hit the Pentagon in the first place because THEY PERSONALLY didn't see any photograghs of wreckage there...

And you know something.. for that to be true, at least 15 different people who personally witnessed the Pentagon attack all lied to my face....

And the guy who told me that they told the pilot from Langley to "kick it in the @ss"... the same guy who was 70 yards from the impact site,.... Well, I guess he lied to me also...

I can believe a lot of things Ed if there is some basis for it... Or at the very least I won't exclude the possibility.

For instance... I can believe the Israelis knew about 9/11 before it occurred.. Highly controversial, and I've been taken to task for that view.. But there is sufficient circumstantial evidence to lead me to that possibility. (However, that doesn't mean they orchestrated it).

And like on 60 minutes this evening... They had a lady who had been hired by the FBI to do translation after 9/11. She complained that she had been told to take her time doing these translations by her supervisors since it was crucial to make it seem like they were understaffed so they could increase their budget. She claimed that information of great interest and utility was delayed from being available to investigators because of these budgetary shenanigans... (she was fired and is currently seeking redress)..

Yeah... I can believe stuff like that

But what you find "logical" is really not, when you understand the military mindset. I can only imagine those pilots flying out of Langley frantically hauling @ss, racing against all odds knowing that they would not be able to intercept Flight 77 in time...

I simply cannot imagine them "dilly dallying" around at a mere 200-300 mph taking their time getting up to DC..
