NS, many oil firms in NoAmer might be fed up with ... - environmental obstacles - political obstacles - poor discovery prospects (except in deep GulfMex, cold Maritimes) - heavy costs and poor financing opps now oil/energy sector has some mysterious forces - Saudi excess capacity looming - Russian new production emerging - upcoming Caspian supply (later) - threats to shipping lanes - extreme dominance of speculative money I expect shortages in the coming years with half-hearted industrial response gonna be strange / jim
