I wonder how much of the money was really aimed at genuine health issues. I used many years to be a strong supporter of the UN, but so many of their programs now are mired in politics, huge bureaucracies, and very little real assistance getting to the point of need that I think there may be good reasons for not pouring more money down that rathole.

If poeople really want to help, I think there are a lot better organizations who will use their money far more effectively. Doctors without Borders, for a start.
