I have never heard of this case, but I think the professor's initial research about gun ownership in America
b4 the Civil War is interesting. He may revise his opinions, in future books. Other scholars may update
his work and criticize it as well. Knowledge and reaching for the truth requires constant diligence,
revision and argument.

I am not sure why the NRA is so upset. People own guns for many legitimate reasons: hunting is a sport
and farmers may own a gun to protect their livestock from the stray coyote or grizzly, depending upon
where they live.

The serious concern is that firearms are easy to obtain by killers, like the recent sniper in the Washington,
DC area.

A Bushmaster Rifle was the weapon the Washington snipper used.

When you think of the terror that Bush strikes in the hearts of Americans today with he speaks about
the war on Iraq, you feel that he points the Bushmaster Rifle at us and tells us to
either go willing to Iraq because your kids are going to end up there anyway with guns pointed at
their heads.

W reminds me of a defective CD that sticks at one point. W is stuck on Iraq..
W is so possessed with his attack on Iraq that I wonder if most
people don't tune him out.He is so obsessed with Iraq that he is unable to dwell on any other topic
at length, I wonder about W's mental stability. Certainly, many people think he is incompetent.
