Sinclair discusses the Islamic Dinar
The 5 Elements for a Long-Term Bull Market in Gold
Now Have a Nuclear Wild Card -- THE GOLD DINAR

huge implications for Islamic Dinar gold coin
retaliation by Islam for any attack on Iraq will likely center on dollar/gold issues
like making the Dinar fully convertible
wow wow wow!!!
in direct violation of IMF/ World Bank strictures
this will end up being financial war

I believe the Islamic Oil world is making preparations for petro-dollar revolutionary changes, in the form of payment of oil in gold or gold equivalents
the Islamic Dinar is such a currency
imagine the implications, cash flow, new central bank purchases
and diversion from USDollar-centric commerce

in the spring I predicted that eventually the OPEC Islamic nations would retaliate by demanding gold for their oil
here is a Sinclair quote to that effect:
I am however starting to think that the plan for the Gold Dinar and support from other Islamic nations is a planned offensive against the use of the dollar as a settlement currency for oil. It is perceived, and correctly so, that the Islamic world is controlled via the use of the US dollar as the main settlement currency. When I say "controlled" I mean whatever happens economically in the USA is exported there via the dollar. Dollars exchanged for the Gold Dinar currency as a measure for gold settlements quarterly or gold convertible to pay for certain oil imports would end all the debate of whether or not gold has a place in the monetary system.

a comment from Isopatch on SD2 thread (a fine mind)
-----------------------
Very significant development in the economic dimension of the long term war between Fundamentalist Islam and the nations more or less allied with the US.

Developments behind closed doors around the world in recent days vis a vis the gold dinar could be the real driver behind the pop in gold and clown buck weakness today.

Expect more of the same going foward.
