Yes of course. The remaining workforce can continue to do all the work flawlessly taking on extra duties. The inventories built by workers in divisions about to be shut down is always of the highest quality. Modern managers really know their stuff <ggg>

Actually there have been some cases where the job got easier as more people got canned. It's all a matter of drawing the directional arrows to each individual in the organization. The long arrows pointing in a different direction from the majority are the best ones to whack. Usually saves the most money too. -g-

You only have watch out for the rare time when the minority nutballs are right, and everyone else is wrong.

Such subtle details are not apparent to the outside world until things really have gone one way or the other though.
