Yes, the Stoics recommend apathy, a state of indifference, or passionlessness. Even if it were possible, I think that it would be wrong. I think that we should be outraged over injustice; joyful over the triumph of goodness; devoted and loving to our families; and so forth.

As I understand it, cognitive therapy has something to recommend it, yes......
