Did any of Pipe's followers accuse these professors of a crime, encourage violence against them, or actually threaten them in any way?

Nadine, I don't know of any and that's not the issue that concerns me. Had they done so, it would, of course, have been even worse.

The issue which concerns me is that naming names, asking students to sit in on their courses for purposes of checking them out, in the context of calling them something close to un-American, is to invite violence against them. In this post 9-11 atmosphere of hyper patriotism most of all. It invites violence against them and their families.

I'm not accusing Pipes and Kramer and crew of doing that but I don't see how they could come up with the dossier idea without considering this downside.

There are a few disturbed students on any campus, witness the Arizona shootings today, others in the past. And, of course, the item I mentioned earlier in which web listings became opportunity targets for murderers of abortion providers.
